Merry Xmas?

Freight forwarder Gefco is predicting a robust surge in demand in the run-up to Christmas, saying that air freight capacity from China to Europe and North America are already almost completely full.

It puts the boom down to the recovery of international trade, the “unprecedented” reorganisation of liner shipping services, the launch of new technology and a boom in e-commerce.

We anticipate that we will have a hot peak season’ says head of ocean and air freight corporate Irwin Lefebvre.
