Investment firm Alcuin Capital Partners is to buy a minority stake in freight and passenger broker Air Charter Service. ACS chief executive Justin Bowman says the business has grown from small beginnings when it was set up by Chris Leach in the basement of his house to be the largest charter brokerage in the world. He added that he now wanted to accelerate its expansion through capital investments in technology and acquisitions of complementary businesses. Alcuin would bring access to capital and, more importantly, expertise in corporate acquisition strategy.
