More robots for U-Freight

[ October 11, 2023   //   ]

Logistics company U-Freight has expanded its robot fleet at its Hong Kong e-commerce fulfilment centre. Some 12,000sq ft of the company’s 20,000sq ft facility in Kwai Chung has been equipped with an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and intelligent racking system, provided by Geek+.

It has added 30 of its P-series AMR picking robots to move inventory shelves and pallets to workstations. This eliminates the need for operators to leave their stations, improving putaway and picking accuracy, and reducing labour intensity. Over the last few years several U-Freight warehouses in Asia, North America, and Europe have been equipped to enable them to act as e-commerce fulfilment centres.
