MSC goes extra mile for Operation Smile

[ March 26, 2021   //   ]

MSC UK has shipped a 40 foot high cube container of medical supplies to Antsirabe Hospital in Madagascar for Operation Smile, a charity which provides free surgical procedures for children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.

The shipping line covered all UK charges including documentation, haulage, port costs and customs charges.

MSC UK has been working closely with the charity over the past few years, with annual donations, a commitment to raise awareness of this worthy cause and various fundraising activities.

Managing director Dan Everitt and finance director David Woolnough took part in a ‘Miles for Smiles’ challenge in 2020, with staff sponsoring the pair to complete a combined total distance of 600 miles in a month, walking, running and cycling.
