[ November 3, 2026   //   ]

Netcompany and HMRC have deliveredthe next phase of the Trader Support Service for goods movements between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

It has delivered the new TSS in ten months since contract award, launched for all new goods movements between on 20 October. The accelerated timeframe was achieved by building the service on Netcompany’s ERMIS customs platform and AMPLIO casework management platform.

The TSS remains free to use and for businesses moving goods in line with the Windsor Framework. While customs processes and businesses’ legal and regulatory obligations are unchanged, the new platform offers users a more intuitive digital journey, improved functionality and enhanced support, Netcompany says

The launch followed a pilot in early July 2026, in which businesses successfully submitted over fifty-thousand declarations while a dedicated practice environment and pre-migration of existing business profiles from the outgoing platform helped users prepare for the move.

Netcompany and HMRC are continuing to digitally enhance the service in collaboration with planned improvements including intelligent guidance embedded within user journeys that will adapt as policy evolves and AI-powered support to help users resolve queries more quickly, while retaining access to trade experts for complex cases and expanded self-service options.

Netcompany country managing partner UK, Richard Davies said: “The new Trader Support Service has been launched thanks to close collaboration with HMRC, our partners and the hundreds of businesses who helped us test and improve the service. Their collective input has shaped the service we have jointly launched. The service launch is an important step, but our focus now is on continuously making the service simpler and better for every trader who relies on it. We will continue to listen to users and improve the service as trade between Great Britain and Northern Ireland evolves.”

Netcompany led delivery alongside a group of specialist partners, including HGS, the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, Trade and Borders, clearBorder, Derry Bros and Digicom. Since contract award, Netcompany has brought further smaller firms into the TSS supply chain, including Mercator, Passion 4 Social and Lingo Translation Services.
