New chief exec for Trailer Bridge

US-based Puerto Rico specialist Trailer Bridge has appointed Charles Gittens as chief executive. He brings more than 30 years of experience in transportation and logistics, and was most recently president of trade for King Ocean Services in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and the Eastern Caribbean. Before joining King Ocean, he was president and chief commercial officer of Seacor Island Lines. Gittens also serves on the board of directors of the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation, which supports maritime education and scholarship opportunities for Caribbean youth.
