New cranes to boost Southampton fruit intake

[ September 13, 2016   //   ]

ABP has ordered two Terex Gottwald harbour cranes to replace older equipment in Southampton (similar to the type illustrated). They will primarily be used to unload palletised fruit traffic and will have a maximum lifting capacity of 63t. They will also be able to handle general cargo and containers in other areas of the port.
In April this year, ABP also ordered two portal harbour cranes for its terminal at Immingham on the Humber estuary.
