New rail link to Sweden’s far north

A freight train shuttle service has been launched between Umeå in the North of Sweden and the port of Gothenburg. It will initially depart one day a week in each direction and is operated by the forwarding company First Row Shipping and Logistics. The 68 container capacity train leaves Gothenburg on Friday morning arriving in Umeå’s new rail freight terminal on Saturday moring. Departures from Umeå are on Saturday evening, arriving in APM Gothenburg terminal on Gotheburg on Sunday.
