NYK Group Europe has won a major contract to move Jaguar Land Rover vehicles on its ro ro ships from Southampton to the Port Hueneme on the US West Coast.

NYK will operate a minimum of two sailings per month on this trade lane, to help the car maker satisfy booming sales. Corporate officer and general Manager at NYK Automotive Transportation, Hiroyuki (Alex) Okamoto, commented: “The trade lane to the US is a very important one for NYK, and we are honoured to be asked to play a part in Jaguar Land Rover’s growth in this market. We look forward to working together in a long term partnership.”
