On the fast track from southern Germany

[ July 20, 2017   //   ]

Lufthansa’s time:matters arm has extended its Spare Parts Logistics service to include flights from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport in southern German to Birmingham and Dublin on weekdays.

Time:matters has been serving the UK and from Frankfurt and Maastricht since 2011.

Urgently needed spare parts can be delivered from 8am the next day. The service is not only especially popular with numerous producers of agricultural equipment, but also customers in the medical technology, IT and automotive sectors. Time:matters says it has already sold some of the  additional cargo capacity to a UK logistics service provider and is receiving further inquiries.

Three Saab 340 freighter aircraft now take off from Baden-Airpark (FKB) every night for time:matters, which also provides automated cargo tracking.

Chief operating officer of time:matters, Christian Mörtl, said: “Almost ten years ago, this service was initially offered in all Scandinavian countries and to Italy. Now, time:matters also offers late pick-up combined with very early delivery for France, Spain, Greece, the whole of the Baltics and Moscow and we are delighted to now be in a position to also offer this to customers from southern Germany for shipments to the UK.”
