Our control tower is cleverer, says FourKites
[ January 17, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Supply chain visibility specialist FourKites has launched an Intelligent Control Tower, which it describes as a radical departure from backward-looking planning and reporting systems. Powered by AI, it can take autonomous action across complex supply chain workflows, in addition to creating insights, assessing risk, and making prescriptive recommendations.
It uses what FourKites describes as the most comprehensive network of real-time supply chain data, tracking over 3.2 million shipments daily in over 200 countries on road, rail, ocean and air, and including over 1.1 million carriers and 98% of the world’s ocean traffic.
Continuously updated digital twins offer “deep visibility into real-world operations, spanning shipments, orders, inventory and assets to create context.
AI agents can take autonomous action on routine tasks and decisions, including track-and-trace to supplier management, appointment scheduling and order management.
Other control towers use disconnected systems unable to link planning to execution or help users take meaningful action, says FourKites.
