Partners see healthy growth ahead in Irish pharma market

[ April 7, 2021   //   ]

SEKO Logistics and Peli BioThermal are targeting Ireland’s growing pharmaceutical market after extending their two-year partnership, supported by SEKO’s opening of a new 30,000sq ft facility in Dublin.

Peli BioThermal, which offers temperature-controlled, thermally protected packaging and service solutions to the life sciences industry, appointed SEKO Logistics as its network station and service centre in Ireland in 2019. The world’s top 10 biopharmaceutical companies and 14 of the world’s top 15 medical technology companies all have operations in Ireland, contributing to the country’s €39 billion in annual exports connected to the pharma, bio and chemistry sectors.

Since signing the original agreement, SEKO has been responsible for servicing, refurbishing, repairing and conditioning shippers from Peli BioThermal’s Crēd on Demand rental program. SEKO’s Good Distribution Practice (GDP) trained drivers also distribute pre-conditioned and validated containers to shippers across Ireland for loading.

Under the newly extended partnership, SEKO now also provides international movements of Crēdo Cargo units by air, sea and road and has also opened a new Crēdo Cube refurbishment operation within the facility with a GDP-certified team of staff.
