Peel and partner plan EV hub for Hunterston

Greenwheel Electric, a new initiative by Muirhall Energy founder Chris Walker, has exchanged an options agreement with Peel Ports Group to pursue an application to build an electric vehicle charging hub at the Hunterston PARC (Port And Resource Campus) near Glasgow. The hub will provide low-cost, ultra-rapid charging from 100% renewable energy. Peel Ports Group has been granted planning permission for the £150m redevelopment of the site’s marine yard and plans to develop it to support offshore wind developments, alongside other potential uses.
