Pledge to help Europa customers keep their emissions under control

[ June 27, 2023   //   ]

Europa Worldwide Group has signed a deal with the Pledge greenhouse gas (GHG) management platform to help its customers better manage their emissions. It will allow them to track, measure, report, and reduce their carbon footprint, offsetting residual emissions using verified carbon removal and offsetting projects.

The platform is accredited by the Smart Freight Centre to ISO 14083 standards for quantifying and reporting GHG emissions.

Updated Sustainability Disclosure Requirements and Climate-related Financial Disclosure regulations will require UK companies to start reporting on their emissions and decarbonising operations.

Europea Worldwide Group’s central services director, Tom Jenkins, said: “With increasing regulations and an ethical obligation to understand more about their environmental impact, we wanted to provide our customers with a better way to measure and report their carbon emissions.

“Pledge’s platform is an ideal solution for us because it allows us to meet the demands of our customers and enable them to take action.”

Pledge chief executive and co-founder, David de Picciotto, said: “Europa has taken the first step in becoming a leader in this space and we’re excited to watch the partnership grow with the meaningful reductions in supply chain emissions that it will bring.”
