P&O hails health heroes

[ August 9, 2021   //   ]

P&O Ferries hosted a ‘thank you’ event onboard the Pride of Rotterdam on 31 July to mark the NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers Day. The sold out celebration paid tribute to the sacrifices made by so many during the Covid-19 pandemic, with a national toast to frontline workers followed by a clap for heroes.
Operations manager, Stephen Gainey, said: “Throughout Covid-19, the dedication and hard work of freight drivers enabled us to keep essential goods – including food, vaccines and medical supplies – moving at a time of national crisis. With the support of our parent company DP World, we will continue to facilitate the reliable flow of goods between the UK and Europe, enabling businesses to bounce back as the world emerges from the pandemic.”
