Port Salford opens for business

[ June 1, 2016   //   ]

Peel Ports officially opened its Port Salford development on the Manchester Ship Canal on 31 May. Culina Group has taken the first warehouse unit, of 26,022 sq m (280,000 sq ft), with food firm General Mills as its anchor client. The site will act as a central hub for General Mills’ ambient brands arriving by short sea services from Europe.

Port Salford offers water connections via Liverpool, rail avoiding central Manchester and is close to three major motorways.
