[ March 13, 2024   //   ]

Multimodal services including rail are providing an alternative to disrupted air and sea freight between Asia and Europe, says Austrian forwarder Cargo-partner.

It says that its container rail options can offer a rapid, cost-efficient, and green alternative between Europe and Asia.

Cargo-partner says it hasy seen a surge in demand for rail services, due to Red Sea shipping crisis and has expanded its offerings to include connections to and from several Asian countries, such as Thailand and Taiwan, as well as China.

Typical transit times are around 30 days from Asia to Europe, using a mix of road, sea and rail routes.
