Record-breaking Multimodal 2025 Awards honour logistics leaders. FBJ Sponsor.
[ June 27, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Multimodal 2025 kicked off with a triumphant celebration of logistics excellence, as Cameron Bowie of Hapag-Lloyd claimed the prestigious Personality of the Year title. The annual awards ceremony drew a record number of industry professionals for an evening that recognised outstanding achievement across every sector of the UK’s logistics landscape.
This year’s ceremony marked a significant milestone, with 15 awards presented to companies and individuals who have driven innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence throughout the year.

Cameron Bowie, who received the evening’s top honour, has had a distinguished 34-year career in shipping. Born and educated in Scotland, he joined his current employer in Asia in 1991, working across China, Vietnam, Thailand and Taiwan before moving to the US and then returning to the UK in 2000. He has served as managing director of Hapag-Lloyd UK and Ireland from 2000-2019 and again from 2022 to present, while being a staunch advocate and supporter of Multimodal throughout his career.
The breadth of this year’s winners demonstrates the dynamic nature of the logistics sector, with DP World achieving a remarkable double victory, securing both the Port Company of the Year and Sustainability Company of the Year awards – testament to their substantial CO2 reductions and comprehensive sustainability initiatives backed by convincing evidence.

Innovation and excellence
Howard Tenens Logistics secured the Best Warehouse Operation of the Year award with what judges described as “a benchmark entry with full-spectrum excellence.” The submission showcased impressive operational innovations including 6RS robots and Kallikor AI technology, delivering a 46% uplift in despatch alongside a 33% renewable energy use and 31% reduction in GHG emissions.
The Technology Company of the Year award went to CCL Logistics & Technology for their innovative approach to sustainability challenges, while the partnership between Sky and DHL Supply Chain was recognised as Shipper/Partner of the Year for their advanced Connected Control Tower managing multimodal flows and delivering 4% freight spend savings.
Diversity and future leaders
Iron Mountain took the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Company of the Year award for what judges called “exceptional DEI leadership” with innovative initiatives including their SEND college partnership. Meanwhile, Haya Huang from DCG Logistics UK Limited was named Young Logistics Professional of the Year, with judges praising her “amazing progress in a relatively short period of time.”
Additional honours went to CNS Ltd (Customs Technology Company of the Year) and Associated British Ports (Multimodal Exhibitor of the Year).
Multimodal event director Robert Jervis emphasised the significance of this year’s achievements. He said: “This year’s winners exemplify the remarkable transformation happening across our industry. From DP World’s pioneering sustainability initiatives to Howard Tenens Logistics ‘ operational excellence and the innovative partnerships like Sky and DHL, we’re seeing logistics companies not just adapt to change, but lead it. These awards celebrate organisations that are building the future of supply chains – more sustainable, more inclusive, and more technologically advanced than ever before.”

The awards operate across three distinct judging frameworks: expert panels, selection by the Multimodal team alongside previous winners, and direct voting by the industry community. This comprehensive approach ensures recognition spans the full spectrum of logistics excellence, from grassroots innovation to corporate leadership.
