Returning turtle

[ November 6, 2012   //   ]

Air France KLM Cargo has helped return a rare sea turtle to its home. The creature, which most likely originated from the Gulf of Mexico, was washed ashore in Monster, the Netherlands in December 2011 and was taken into care by Sea Life in Scheveningen. But on 1 November, the turle, by now christened Flip flew back to Houston, onboard a KLM B747 Combi aircraft in a custom-built crate and via the KLM Cargo Animal Hotel at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Flip was accompanied by a KLM Cargo animal attendant and by the head of the animal care department from Sea Life

The Ark animal shelter in Port Aransas will prepare her for release into the wild.
