Rhenus delivers wind energy to the Balkans
[ September 10, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]Rhenus has completed a major project logistics operation for TomKup renewable energy investor which is developing the VP Baljci wind farm in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Between November 2025 and January 2026, the company coordinated the transport of approximately 4,000 tonnes of wind turbine components. Once completed, the project is expected to generate approximately 145.8 GWh of renewable electricity annually.
The operation required port handling, freight forwarding and specialized inland transportation services with 147 abnormal load vehicles deployed to deliver components from the Port of Ploče in Croatia, via the Kamensko border crossing and Tomislavgrad, to the wind farm site.
