Rhenus opens new Dublin site

[ April 4, 2024   //   ]

Rhenus Ireland has opened a new 11,150sq m Dublin facility, 11 kilometres from the city’s airport and 22km from the seaport.

It will provide integrated management for sectors including energy management, life sciences and healthcare, industrial, retail, chemicals, food and beverage and automotive, in addition to a wide range of local industries.

Built to LEED gold standard, the new site features 12 dock levellers, two grade level doors and a 17-metre clear internal height, supported by a warehouse roof and an in-rack sprinkler system. It also has a dedicated ambient chamber, where temperature is mapped and monitored to pharmaceutical standards.

The site will be operated by 65 members of staff.

Earlier this year Rhenus doubled capacity of its Parkmore campus in Galway to 20,000sq m, following its acquisition of Source & Supply Logistics in 2021.

Managing director of Rhenus Ireland, Declan Sinnott, said: “Coupled with our continued investment in our Galway operation earlier this year, the opening of the Dublin facility is yet another statement of our continued commitment to support the Rhenus customers in the Irish Market.”

Rhenus held an open day on 27 March to mark the occasion, with key clients, longstanding suppliers along with local council representatives.
