Rhenus takes over tech and timber firms

Rhenus Group’s Rhenus High Tech arm has bought 100% of the shares in Simon Hegele Hightech Transport & Service a subsidiary of the Simon Hegele Group. Rhenus High Tech and Simon Hegele have been cooperating in their distribution networks for more than five years to provide technical value-added logistics solutions for the customers of both companies.

Rhenus Forest Logistics, which specialises in transporting and trading in sawmill residue, waste wood and biomass, has taken over Baden-Württemberg –based wood logistics services provider, Kruger. Employees and the vehicle fleet will be deployed at the new operating site, Rhenus Forest Ellwangen.
