[ October 28, 2021   //   ]

German owned Rhenus will open an office in Oslo, Norway from the beginning of February 2022, its first in Norway, and for its Rhenus Air & Ocean forwarding arm the first in Scandinavia.

In addition to air and ocean freight, the new location offers supply services to offshore platforms, project logistics and logistical support for healthcare, mining, aid and relief services, renewable energy and perishable goods.

Managing director of Rhenus Norway, Bent Thomasen, said: “Currently, Rhenus Air & Ocean is not present in Scandinavia and therefore intends to strengthen its presence in the Norwegian market by establishing a branch in Oslo, the country’s capital and economic powerhouse.”

Chief executive Northern and Western Europe for Rhenus Air & Ocean, Frank Roderkerk, added: “The opening of the new location in Norway marks an important strategic step for the Rhenus Group and an expansion into new markets using our own network. It strengthens our presence in the Nordic countries and brings us even closer to our customers.”
