Russia deal may cut flight costs

EU trade Commissioner said it had secured a guarantee from Russia that an agreement to amend the system of Siberian Overflight payments within the next few weeks as part of bilateral negotiations forming part of Russia’s World Trade Organisation membership process. The deal could greatly reduce the cost of flying to and from the Far East. However, Russia’s WTO entire bid might be derailed by its failure to reach a bilateral deal with Georgia on outstanding trade issues before the end of the year.
