[ August 3, 2015   //   ]

A Competition Commission of South Africa investigation into the car carrier trade in 1999 to September 2012, and which concluded that Wallenius Wilhwelmsen Lines had engaged in prohibited practices, has now been referred to the Competition Tribunal of South Africa for trial. If confirmed, WWL would pay a fine of R95 695 529 (US$7.7 million) and would implement and monitor a competition law compliance programme as part of its corporate governance policy.
