Scan Global to buy OIA Global in US

Scan Global Logistics has signed an agreement to acquire Portland, Oregon-based logistics company, OIA Global, the largest investment in the Copenhagen-based forwarder’s history and putting the company among the top 20 freight forwarders in the world.

The acquisition will strengthen its position in the US and other strategic markets.

Founded in 1988, OIA Global employs more than 1,200 people across more than 60 offices in over 30 countries.

OIA Global has capabilities in supply chain management, customs brokerage, project logistics, and packaging solutions

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027.
