Seafrigo quadruples Melbourne capacity
[ September 10, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Food logistics specialist Seafrigo Australia – which trades as Mode Logistics – has opened a facility at Melbourne Airport. The 10,000sq m facility quadruples the space of the previous facility and allows Seafrigo Australia to handle preloaded units more efficiently and offer extended loading windows. Zones offered include frozen storage (-16°C to -20°C), chilled storage (0°C to 4°C), and ambient temperature for exports such as meat, fresh and frozen fish, dairy products, horticultural goods, and supermarket items. It is also equipped with biosecurity-compliant infrastructure, including fumigation chambers and a fully enclosed shutter system on the docks, in line with Australia’s biodiversity and biosecurity laws which are among the most stringent in the world.
