SF Express flies to EMA for first time

China’s SF Express, China’s largest cargo airline flew into East Midlands Airport with its own aircraft for the first time on 8 March, on one of its Boeing 747 freighters from Ezhou Huahu International.

It is one of eight new cargo carriers that launched new operations through East Midlands last year

Up to this point SF has served East Midlands Airport through chartering and taking space on other operators.

East Midlands cargo grew 12% year-on-year in 2025, outstripping London airports where growth flatlined or went backwards.
