Shipping cut to stay

[ January 18, 2013   //   ]

The G6 Alliance – Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, MOL, APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai, NYK and OOCL – said on 17 January that it would maintain its current five-loop Asia-North Europe service in 2013 and would not reinstate the Loop 3 Asia-Europe service, suspended in October 2012. The carrier said it anticipated that the current supply and demand balance would continue. Adjustments have been made to the Alliance’s other services to accommodate port calls from the Loop 3 service

French-based carrier CMA has meanwhile cancelled a number of sailings on its Far East to North Europe trade, due to Chinese New Year holidays.
