Skyport keeps car maker on the move

[ March 30, 2022   //   ]

Czech cargo handler Skyport has moved essential automotive spare parts from Poland to Spain via Prague Airport on urgent charter flights to help keep production lines rolling.

In the space of just two weeks, Skyport handled more than 11 tonnes on six separate charter flights operated by Air Charter Service to Girona–Costa Brava Airport, Spain, using ATR-42 and Saab 340 aircraft.

The cargo was already in transit by truck when Skyport’s help was enlisted. It mobilised rapidly to provide express cargo handling services at Prague Airport station, managing to process the exported goods within two hours of receipt.

It took only six hours from the first point of contact with Skyport to the flight departing.
