Specialist sees healthy prospects in UK medical market
[ May 14, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]Medical device logistics firm HealthLink has launched operations in the UK, adding to its operations in the Netherlands and North America.
Part of the Staci Group, HealthLink will operate an ISO 13485-certified fulfilment centre at Frontier Park in Blackburn, offering services including third-party logistics, climate-controlled warehousing, fulfilment, distribution, customer service, back-office support, and global VAT deferment.
It says it will be able give its customers reduced lead times while ensuring compliance with UK and EU regulatory standards.
HealthLink supports over 160 life science manufacturers at its existing hubs in Memphis, Tennessee and Waalwijk, the Netherlands, complemented by a network of international storage locations.
The decision to launch in the UK was driven by the significant growth of the local medical devices market, which was valued at over $17 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach $32bn by 2032.
The UK operations will be headed up by Wayne Chapman, the serving chief executive of Staci UK.
