Stena chief steps down

Stena Line CEO, Gunnar Blomdahl is to retire after ten years in the role on 1 January 2013 and will be replaced by Carl-Johan Hagman. He is currently responsible for shipping operations in the Stena Group.

Blomdahl has in his decade at the helm developed Stena into one of the world’s largest ferry companies and it has seen its most profitable years during his tenure. The company has invested around £1.1bn in new tonnage and new routes.

Carl-Johan Hagman will relinquish the role as chairman and Dan Sten Olsson will once again take on this role.
