Stobart train is a fixture

[ January 21, 2019   //   ]

Eddie Stobart Logistics has made permanent its new rail service from the port of Tilbury to Daventry, originally launched as a fourth month trial in September. The new service, which has a forecast capacity of 200 containers a week will “within a matter of weeks” be expanded to run daily Monday to Friday, and there are also plans to run weekly to Widnes, Cheshire. The service leaves Tilbury at 09.00 and reaches Daventry at 15.00, allowing customers to get fresh produce into regional distribution centres or stores on the same day.
