Supply chain thinking and the military mind

Former defence professionals have contributed to a new book on how ‘civilian’ logistics and supply chain practices be applied in the military context. Defence Logistics: Enabling and Sustaining Successful Military Operations, edited by former logistician and Ammunition Technical Officer for the British Army Jeremy Smith, is described by the publishers, Kogan Page As “the definitive guide to understanding and applying logistics in military operations.

Jeremy Smith manages teaching on defence management at Cranfield University and has developed several logistics short courses and workshops. He served for 25 years in the British Army as a logistician and ammunition technical officer.
