Suttons extends its international reach

[ November 4, 2021   //   ]

UK family owned liquid logistics operator Suttons has signed an agreement with German-based VTG Tanktainer to acquire the latter’s overseas ISO tank containers, personnel, and customer contracts, including VTG interests in a joint venture with Mission Line in Brazil. VTG Tanktainer is a subsidiary of rail wagon leasing firm VTG Aktiengesellschaft.

VTG Tanktainer will focus on the global leasing of tank containers, together with integrated logistical services.

The deal does not include VTG’s interests in its Chinese domestic joint venture COSCOVTG Tanktainer but the three companies will work together in the coming weeks to support its ISO Tank customers.

Managing director of Suttons International and chief executive of Suttons Group, John Sutton, said:  “This acquisition will strengthen our geographical scale and give us a strong presence in new markets to better serve our customers, as well as provide greater opportunities for all staff.

“It will firmly establish our business amongst the top 10 global tank container operators and will be integrated into our existing, robust management structure.”
