Swansea port manager turns Santa

[ December 17, 2020   //   ]

Associated British Ports (ABP) turned its Swansea Harbour office into Santa’s Grotto, providing safe space to store presents for the 2020 ‘Mr X Christmas Appeal’.

For more than 60 years, Mr X has collected and distributed thousands of presents for underprivileged children in South Wales, distributed by volunteers across Cardiff, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Carmarthenshire.

ABP port manager for Swansea and Port Talbot, Robert Gray (pictured, right), said: “This year has been a difficult one for many due to the pandemic and we are pleased that we have been able to step in and support the ‘Mr X Christmas Appeal’ and their worthy cause. Christmas is a time of the year for kindness and gratitude and it is fantastic that this charity will bring a smile to the faces of many children in challenging circumstances.”
