Sweden’s Greencarrier sold to US partner

Atlanta-based forwarder JAS Worldwide has acquired Swedish operator Greencarrier Freight Services International from the Greencarrier Group.

Founded in 2000, Gothenburg-headquartered Greencarrier has offices in 11 countries and 800 employees including the Nordic and Baltic countries, UK, Eastern Europe and China.

JAS Worldwide chief executive Marco Rebuffi, said it was his company’s fourth acquisition of 2021, adding: “We have worked closely with Greencarrier as an agent of JAS and now welcome these talented colleagues to join the JAS family. We look forward to realizing the new opportunities which have been created by the combined resources of our larger organization.”

Originally founded in 1978 in Milan, Italy, JAS covers over 100 countries and has over 5,000 employees globally.
