Swissterminal on the way to net zero

[ September 15, 2021   //   ]

Integrated logistics provider Swissterminal says it has achieved an important step towards its goal of achieving net-zero emissions from its entire operations with the move to 100% renewable electricity at its terminal sites in Switzerland. It has signed a contract with Renergy, an independent Swiss electricity broker, to supply its terminal locations in Switzerland with energy generated entirely from Swiss hydropower until at least 2024. “It has meanwhile launched several low-emission rail services, including a connection from Switzerland to China and in November 2020 rolled out a barge service between terminals in Switzerland and Rotterdam and Antwerp.
