Air China to fly freighters from Prestwick to NW China

Glasgow Prestwick Airport has gained a freighter service to Ürümqi Tianshan International Airport in northwest China. The new service, which started on Sunday 13 September, will operate twice a week, adding to Air China’s existing connections from Prestwick to Guangzhou Baiyun, Chengdu, and Shanghai. It will support the airport’s seafood export service, which moved 1.78 million kilograms of Scottish salmon in the first six months of the year. [+]

Air China Cargo has doubled its weekly freighter services to Glasgow Prestwick Airport from four to eight, and added Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport to its existing Guangzhou service, operated by an A330F.
