Containerships links Ireland to Dunkirk

Containerships has added a new call in Dunkirk to its BENI service between Rotterdam, Dublin and Cork, making it the only service running between the Republic of Ireland and the northern French port with a transit time of four days. Rail connections are available between Dunkirk, Paris and Metz as well door-to-door delivery throughout France. The route is served by a 900teu ship with 204 reefer connections. Containerships adds Lithuania link

Containerships has added a Balt VI service between Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Teesport, Operated by the MV A2B Leader, it offers 280teu capacity a week with a transit time of four days. Departures from Klaipeda are on Friday with arrival in Teesport on Monday. [+]

Containerships adds Poland shuttles

Containerships is expanding its service between Poland and the UK with dedicated shuttle services between Gdynia and Teesport and Gdynia and Tilbury, in addition to existing services. Port calls in the UK are on Tuesday and in Poland on Saturday. [+]

Containerships has added a call in Cork to its weekly BENI service between Rotterdam and Dublin. It departs Rotterdam on Saturday arriving in Cork, via Dublin, on Tuesday, before returning to Rotterdam. [+]

New chief executive for Containerships

Rob Waterman has been appointed as chief executive of Containerships – CMA CGM GmbH based in Hamburg. He replaces Claude Lebel who is retiring. Waterman has been chief executive of CMA CGM (UK) Shipping since March 2013, based in Liverpool. [+]

CMA gets green light for Containerships takeover
