DFDS to buy Gibraltar ferry assets

DFDS is to buy some of the assets of Naviera Armas’ Strait of Gibraltar ferry operations including a ro-pax ferry, a high-speed catamaran and existing route permits, along with some 200 employees. The purchase price is DKK 240m (£27.8m) and is subject to regulatory approvals. DFDS currently operates two ferry routes on Strait of Gibraltar: Algeciras-Tanger Med and Algeciras-Ceuta.
