Swissterminal’s network in Switzerland and France is now fully integrated into DP World, following a five-year partnership. DP World said customers will benefit from expanded service offerings, enhanced efficiency, and access to a broader global logistics network. Swissterminal operates terminals in the Baselregion of Switzerland and the Alsace region of France as well as depot and warehousing and a network of rail and barge services.

Dubai-based global port operator DP World is to take a 44% stake in Swissterminal, the leading container terminal operator in Switzerland, for an undisclosed sum. Founders the Mayer family will remain the majority shareholder. Swissterminal, headquartered in Frenkendorf near Basel, also operates terminals in Zurich-Niederglatt, Basel-Birsfelden, Basel-Kleinhueningen and Liestal.
