SF Express is to operate four freighter flights a week from China to East Midlands Airport in the UK.
SF Express is the largest integrated logistics service provider in China and the fourth largest globally flies from Ezhou Huahu International Airport, China's first cargo-focused airport. The inaugural flight on 1 November was undertaken using a chartered One Air aircraft, already operating between East Midlands Airport and China.

East Midlands Airport has appointed Lauren Turner as operations director. She takes up the post after working in a wide variety of roles at the airport since 2013 when she joined as a security officer, and was most recently head of airfield operations.
