Hapag-Lloyd’s HST and Intame set to open Brazil hub

Hapag-Lloyd’s Hanseatic Global Terminals arm and the Imetame Group have launched a partnership to develop and operate the Aracruz container terminal in Brazil, expected to open in mid-2028. Located in Espírito Santo state on the east coast, about 200km north of Rio de Janeiro it will be able to handle new generation vessels, with a draft of 17 meters and an annual capacity of 1.2 million TEU.
