Juneyao Air flights between Manchester and Shanghai are due to start in March, operating three times per week using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Shanghai will be Manchester’s third route to China; Cathay Pacific launched a Hong Kong route in 2014 with and Hainan Airlines started Beijing flights in 2016.

Privately owned Chinese carrier Juneyao Air is to launch a three-times-a-week 787-9 Dreamliner service between Shanghai and Manchester. It will operate initially via Helsinki, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving into Manchester at 08.30 and departing for Shanghai at 10:00.
