New cranes to lift Maritime performance

Maritime Transport has put two new Konecranes straddle carriers into operation at its Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT). With a four-high capacity they will provide faster, more reliable loading and unloading containers. Maritime acquired BIFT in 2014 as part of the Roadways Container Logistics deal, and has grown the terminal’s operation from one daily service to five.
