Low sulphur ships may suffer power loss, warns insurer

Vessels that use lower sulphur fuel often suffer sudden loss of power, according to the UK P&I Club. The insurance club said that main engine failures or electrical blackouts now amount to 7% of its third party claims, with some running into millions of dollars.
