Driver pleads guilty to truck deaths

Truck driver Maurice Robinson has pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to after 39 Vietnamese nationals were discovered dead in his in a refrigerated trailer on 23 October in Grays, Essex. Their bodies were discovered at an industrial estate soon after the vehicle arrived in the UK on a ferry from Zeebrugge in Belgium. At the same hearing, co-defendant Gheorghe Nica, 43, denied 39 counts of manslaughter. [+]
