No rise is good news, says freight industry

The Freight Transport Association, while applauding the Chancellor’s decision to cancel September's planned fuel duty rise, said it was disappointed that he had ignored industry pleas for a cut in duty. In its pre-Budget submission to the Chancellor, FTA called for duty to be reduced by 3 pence per litre.
