Home again – Cybele returns thanks to Turkish Cargo

Turkish Cargo has helped bring back a third Century AD statue of the mother goddess Cybele to Istanbul from New York. She had been trafficked abroad in 1970. Cybele, guardian of abundance was brought to Istanbul from New York on 12 December with the sponsorship of Turkish Airlines following a huge legal effort by the country’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and will be exhibited in the Istanbul Archaeology Museum.
